This year, 2011, Dumbarton Academy FP AFC celebrates its centenary.

Formed by ex pupils of Dumbarton Academy, the club has provided amateur players with a facility to participate at various levels over the past 100 years.

At its height Accies had 4 teams, playing in The FP leagues, West of Scotland and Scottish Amateur Divisions.

Since the early 80s the first team has moved from the Central Scottish League to the prestigious Caledonian and sits proudly in the Premier Division.

Over the past 10 years, The Accies have recruited under 21s and under 19s teams to the club.
