St Mungos 3 Accies 1

The game on sat started well, we looked threatening and has a couple of chances before Andy McDonald pounced on a loose ball to volley home on fifteen mins. thirty five mins in after a bit of pressure St Mungos finally equalised after Accies failed to stop a cross and poor marking lead to St Mungos’ Palmer at the back post to header past McGillivary. All square at half time and despite a rousing team talk from Derek Duffy Accies put in a poor second half performance leading to another two goals from the home team . Mungos had all the pressure in the second half and Accies were only kept in the game by a wonder save from Andy McGillivary to keep it at one each. However it was inevitable that the goals would come and Mungos finally broke Accies down and duly got their rewards.   Accies failed to create any notable chances in the second half and will be deeply disappointed at this. This week Accies travel to maryhill to play Glasgow University.
