CLUB HISTORY
96 years old (12/11/07)

Dumbarton Academy FP AFC can trace its history back to 1911.

Formed by ex pupils of Dumbarton Academy, the club has provided amateur players with a facility to participate at various levels over the past 90+ years.

At its height Accies had 5 teams, playing in The FP leagues, West of Scotland and Scottish Amateur Divisions.

Since the early 80s the first team has moved from the Central Scottish League to the prestigious Caledonian and sits proudly in the Premier Division.

Awards (12/11/07)

The awards are too many to list, however the clubs main awards must be mentioned. In 1971 Accies lifted the Scottish Amateur Cup after a
1-0 victory over Mearns Amtrs. In 2005-06 they were winners of The Caledonian Premier League.
